This award recognises initiatives that have delivered measurable public benefit through the design, build and innovative use of data systems and technologies across the APS.   

It celebrates excellence in data engineering, including the development of systems that enable the effective collection, management and use of government data.  

Your nomination should demonstrate how your project applied new or emerging technologies in novel, repeatable and reusable ways to drive outcomes.  

 Example areas include: 

• the successful curation and orchestration of actions across data pipelines   
• development of machine learning or AI systems that were implemented in a demonstrably ethical and responsible manner.   

Your nomination must clearly articulate the impact and benefits delivered to the Australian public through these data-driven innovations.
