Summary
APS Data Awards are open to people and teams working for the Australian Public Service (APS).
Eligibility
Individual Australian Public Service (APS) employees, contractors employed by the APS, teams comprising APS employees, or APS agencies are eligible to nominate. If the initiative involves other organisations, only the APS employee(s) will be eligible for the award.
Public Governance, Performance and Accountability (PGPA) Act Commonwealth entities in the general government sector, and their employees, and entities that are agencies within the meaning of the Freedom of Information Act 1982 and their employees, are also eligible.
Please check your award category to see who the award is open to before applying (individual, team, and/or APS organisation).
Collaborative entries
Collaborative nominations, highlighting cross agency initiatives are highly encouraged. There is no limit to the number of agencies that can be involved. It is essential to establish one lead agency for the nomination process. The assigned contact person from the lead agency will be responsible for managing all required communication and approvals with the other agency counterparts. This ensures a streamlined process and clear coordination among all parties involved.
Non-APS organisations including State and Territory agencies, private sector companies and universities are not eligible to submit entries independently. However, they may be included as partners in a nomination led by an APS department. In such cases, the APS organisation must be the primary entrant and point of contact.
Individual, team or organisation
Awards differ regarding who can apply. Please ensure the award type suits your situation.
